I am back next week

Michael L.

Terrible picture of me, but a terrific picture of a 30 pound striped bass.

This was a trophy fish in need of taxidermy fame... but I let it go.

This fish still swims in Tims Ford Lake in Tennessee outside of Lynchburg.

{Maybe you can catch it!}

By the way, the Jack Daniel tour is more interesting than you might think.

Our tour guide, Ron, was hysterical and pretty brilliant, actually.

And, if you know the American South, you can easily see how the man represents.

That guy is Lynchburg and the South in the best way... educated, laid-back, and hairy-scary.

    1. Pitt,
Think that's less to do with the traditional anti-Semitism of the Catholic Church; more to do with the political leanings of the present pope.

Whatever: it will have terrible consequences. Really terrible.

    2. It has some of both in it.
And combining the rise of antisemitism in Europe along with the strong connection to the Vatican in Europe, this is disastrous on multiple fronts.

    3. Agreed,
It's pretty much the worst thing that could happen.
Also, with the highly significant Catholic demographic in the US, it means there will be serious social and political repercussions in America.
this is disastrous on multiple fronts .
      It certainly is.

    4. We win some and we lose some, this one was a tremendous loss that will have big consequences.

Israel must declare its final borders, remove the IDF to behind those borders, and toss the keys.

The Muslims and the Europeans will despise the Jews no matter what Israel does, so Israel needs to stop pretending that it can ever make either happy.

It is time for a little reciprocal unilateralism.

    1. Doodad,
I read that one, and now he's got a new one on Jerusalem for Jerusalem Day. Also definitely worth it.
